Graduation is a big deal anywhere. Especially here. This small community holds and cares for our children all through the years, and graduation is one of those necessary closures and commencements we all need in order to process the changing seasons of our lives.
Here’s a smattering of photos from the different graduation activities over this past week from Orcas Christian School (June 9th graduation) and Orcas Island High School (June 17th graduation) – definitely not representative of all the events that were experienced, but a peek nonetheless.
(While I took a few of these, I held back from photographing everything this past week in order to take it all in and allow myself ample processing time since many of those graduates are kids I’ve watched grow up and one of them is my own.)
