Some Final Shots Before the Snow Melted

Saturday morning, our son had to get to Friday Harbor on an early morning ferry to participate in the new winter Youth Conservation Corps program. Despite the fact that the main road was clear, we couldn’t yet drive up our steep, slick road due to the lingering snow, so some kind friends gave us a ride in their truck to the ferry landing.

I watched my son’s ferry pull away and decided to walk the 8 miles home to enjoy sights I wouldn’t see again, as the snow was starting to melt quickly. I could’ve thumbed it back, but you have to enjoy such seasonal gifts here since you never know if snow will happen again this winter.

Come along with me on my walk from the ferry landing to Eastsound…

  1. I wish I could actually see the images

    • Hi Pam! There is one other person who told me they were having the same problem, and they figured out that if they hit the comment (or is it comments) button and scroll back up, the photos appear. Let me know if that works for you. They are still coming through fine when they come to me, so I’m not sure what causes that. Thanks so much for letting me know!
