Summer was on and off until about July 6th. Some days at the lake, I was wrapped in blankets under gentle rain until the swimming kids got so cold that their tremors sent us home.
Thankfully over the past several weeks, the sun has been strong and the fun has been on. We’ve enjoyed countless hot lake days that have lasted until dinnertime, swimming and swimming until the setting sun sent us home. We’ve been out under endless blue skies unhindered by rainclouds for as long as we can, trying to outweigh the impending dark always looming in fall and winter.
