A Summer Day in Seattle

We’ve heard people say for years that summer here – meaning consistent sunshine – can only be counted on starting somewhere around the 4th of July.

This is one of those summers.

The rains usually come again once blackberry season is winding down in late August or early September.

I just picked my first blackberries yesterday, and last night it rained all night. Only time will tell if summer decides to last longer than a month this year…

I’m laughing only to keep from crying! 🙂
