A Quick Jaunt to Seattle

A day off-island…

A stop at the famous Christianson’s Nursery in Skagit Valley – a welcome change from Costco and Fred Meyer
Hunting down fresh roadside cherries – this photo pretty much sums up early summer in the Northwest
Two hours later it’s blue skies – Seattle looks amazing in the rare sunshine
Neighborhoods bathed in needed light
A stop at the beautiful Kerry Park overlook
A treasured few ounces of frozen yogurt (nearing the price of gold) before getting back in the ferry line

    Edee- this evoked memories:
    my first day in the PNW
    Seattle, meeting my email
    friend, doing the tour.
    We had tea in a Korean teashop.thenore
    formally and more fun, @ Zen Dog Gallery and Teahouse in Ballard.
    The International area,
    the Humongous Oriental shopping mall—
    that was 2010.
    Now sad homeless folk lay their heads amd tents down anywhere.
