Actually, the day began with pouring, blowing, sideways rain, unlike the usual pitter-patter of Orcas. In the middle of a morning walk, I ducked into Darvill’s Bookstore so as to avoid getting soaked, but realized I’d be camping out for quite some time. I accepted the idea of being drenched, walked out into it, and enjoyed the unusualness of being one with voluminous water.
I happened to walk over to the labyrinth at the Episcopal Church to get a look at the view from that perspective, and the bride’s and groom’s families were just beginning to set up for the wedding that would happen in four hours.
Magically, as things happen here, the wind and rain dissipated right before the appropriate time, and we had one of the clearest, most sparkling fall afternoons you can imagine.
I’d love to show more, but the bride and groom have not yet received their 770+ photos on flash drive, so you’re seeing as much as they’ve seen…
Beautiful!!! You have captured the innocently sweet and beautiful moments so well!
Thank you for sharing! Effie is precious to me and I pray her heart will be always as happy as this day
Thank you, Wendy!
So lovely. Thank you for sharing these. I’ve loved Effie all her life but was not able to attend the wedding. You captured just what i would have imagined their day to be.
Thank you so much, Elsa!
What a lovely capture of a succession of moments without being intrusive. And I”m so glad about the weather. I trust that many blessings will continue to shower on this lovely couple. Antoinette
Thank you, Storybird!
