This guy is way far out. At least physically speaking. It’s one of the farthest drives from town, and sometimes very entertaining, literally, depending on when you happen to show up. Inside his blacksmith shop, aside from thousands of tools, is a full band set-up. A few years ago, we arrived when a band was jamming. This time was a more laid-back experience. He had just let a friend of his begin making something out of a block of metal with his huge stamper. When his friend left, Thomas took over and rapidly fashioned a dog’s head before our eyes.
