On a walk today, I didn’t make it past town. The sun was shining after a lot of gray-white days, and all of the little peaceful spaces and benches and cozies just gleamed and stood out. I simply had to capture them.
Steve Templin, this one’s for you – a virtual stroll through town since you couldn’t visit this summer…
First stop, Sara’s Garden behind Outlook Inn. Behind the fence is one of the prettiest little places you could ever meander through. In fact, a little girl was spinning and dancing throughout it as I passed by, joyfully animated in her own almost-secret world…
Follow the trail behind Sara’s Garden through the marsh and into The Village Green, where this little peaceful space exists behind the stage…
Walk over to the library and more lovely resting places abound…
Down the way beside The Apothecary sits this little peaceful haven, over the fence from Wildlife Cycles…
On the pathway from town toward the school is this pause for nice shade…
Don’t overlook the lush public school garden – if your tank is low on tranquility and quiet abundance, this is a must…
Then there’s the pathway behind Enzo’s and the shady bench across the street from it…
And the leisurely cut-through lot between the two main streets in Eastsound – a good place to sit down and savor an ice cream bar or sandwich in the nice sunshine and perfect air…
Then there’s a nice stop in front of the museum, at the start of Eastsound Green…
And back toward the marsh trail…
To eventually land with an ocean view of Eastsound Beach…
Well, Edee …. what a pleasant surprise …. in more than one way.
Thanks so much for the beautiful images and scenery …. that we will have to explore
…. when the ‘dust’ settles.
I was very touched by your reference … Orcas is very special to us.
