Local legend Jimmy Mudd sat with us for an interview the other day at the KIXP station, where I had invited a public school student to be a guest interviewer. I asked the school who they would recommend and they connected me with Senior Kairam Bailey. I invited Kairam, vocalist of the local band Bonzi, to the station to observe as I interviewed Davina Liberty several weeks ago, and then I asked him who his ideal guest would be to interview over the Christmas break. Guitarist Jimmy Mudd, he said! Jimmy is known around the island for the “Train Wreck,” a local jam time for any musicians interested, which he hosted every week for decades.
