Last night we attended the very first unmasked indoor show on Orcas Island since March of last year. Matthew the Magician is one of our local phenoms, and his magic show is not to be missed. He is unbelievably impressive.
We’ve been attending Matthew’s shows since he was 13 years old, and his skills are off the charts. He’s now 20, and his stage presence, confidence, joy, and humility are all striking. He will do things up on that stage that drop your jaw and make you wonder aloud what you’re seeing.
If you’d like to be wowed, there’s a show for unvaccinated folks at 2 PM today, and a show for vaccinated folks at 5 PM (you must show your vaccination card to get in). Both provide distanced seating in Sea View Theatre right in Eastsound. Don’t miss it, or you’ll be giving up a chance to experience something so uniquely “Orcas.”
