I love how life leads you to experiences you just can’t plan out, especially here on Orcas Island. That’s why I always leave ample room for spontaneous conversations and wonderful “happenings.”
Meet my new friend, Anne Thomas – someone I’ve known about for years – and her lifelong friend, Joy. I happened upon them chatting on Indian Island on a low tide day.
We’ve had many low-tide days lately, when a path called a “tombolo” appears, guiding you out to Indian Island for a unique look at land and sea creatures that are normally unseen.
Both Anne and Joy are taking some time to rest from the work they do in Southeast Asia. May you, too, take time out to smell the roses here and make new friends.
Well I love seeing my friends (since high school) and these friends are the
Most courageous and international workers I know! They are so accomplished in their visions and ministries. Such a treasure encounter you had to meet Joy and Anne!! Love Susan
They are lovely! So great you’ve all been friends since high school!!
