Olga Daze 2025

This event is quickly becoming a favorite of mine because it’s so simple, so down-home, so country, so Orcas. Nothing fancy about a yard sale, live music, hot dogs, chili, homemade maple bars, face painting, egg tossing, sack racing, and the shortest parade ever. But with a post-pandemic proliferation of slicker events with entry prices and expensive goods, this one in comparison feels like the good ol’ days when all you needed was a field, a lot of people, some good food, and an excuse to get together.

If you had other things going on this past Saturday, come along and vicariously experience the day…

Click here to watch a video clip of the parade and here to watch Tow Away Zone’s Orcas Island version of “Take Me Home, Country Roads.”

See ya next year……. 🙂

  1. Edee, these photos are priceless! Loved seeing my daughter Laura at the Bake sale booth. Guess who won the quilt? ME!!! I agree – OlgaDaze is a beautifully rare and inclusive event.
