Our tech-loving teenager saved the money he earned from working for Orcas Island Youth Conservation Corps this summer in order to buy a 3D printer. It just came three days ago and he is more than thrilled, as he’s been designing, printing, and painting a chromium atom for a school project.
My husband marvels at the things our son has bought in this modern age that would’ve seemed impossibly futuristic to even dream about back in his youth – a hoverboard, an electric skateboard, a personal 3D printer, etc.
Thank you, too, Bob and Iris, for giving him the ongoing opportunity to earn and save for such things!
Looks very cool. What a neat hobby!
