The second and final performance of Oliver Twist at Orcas Christian School was this past Tuesday evening. The rain held off for the students to shine, and the five seniors who graduated on Friday evening put on a Senior Spotlight pre-show…
(There was also a wonderful speech given by another senior, but it is failing to transfer from my phone.)
Then came time for the play. If you missed it or wish you could enjoy it all over again, here are some video clips and photos…
The scene above is fantastic! I watched it over and over with several pauses to try to figure out who made the slapping sound!
Oh, how fun it is to watch the talents of kids tapped into and expanded!

Thanks to Jake Perrine and Orcas Center for lending OCS clothing and shoes. The backdrop you see was cut, sewn, and hung by Shaun Pritchard and painted by Stephanie Clair (both parents of OCS students).
Way to go again, Mr. Rivera! (Last year’s play, Romeo and Juliet, can be seen here.)
