The Orcas Island Film Festival begins this Thursday and lasts through Monday, the 10th.

I always forget to look ahead of time at the films on the OIFF schedule until a few days before it all begins, and sometimes the one or two I’m interested in are full by then. I just got the last seats for an animal documentary film called All that Breathes for my 12-year-old and me (and the seats are about 7 rows apart!), so look now at the website before more seats are gone. I also booked seats for us for another animal documentary called Wildcat on the same day, so we will have a double-movie day while my husband and other son are at a Cross Country meet on the mainland. Our high schooler will be seeing Good Night Oppy with fellow students on Monday, which looks fantastic, so I booked tickets for my husband and 12-year-old to see it on Sunday. I’d love to see it too, but didn’t want to get overly excessive. This is already a lot for us, but after two years of relative eventlessness and isolation, it’s wonderful to have all the Orcas happenings back again!
