This is what happens when you’re visiting Orcas Island for a quick day trip and I happen upon you as the sun is coming out and illuminating the background scenery.
Meet Jacque Breyer and Elise Meade, a traveling nurse and a physical therapist from Tennessee.
Have hard-boiled eggs, will travel – I love it – so Orcas! 
It was chilly and overcast when they brought their chairs down, and as they set up, the sun broke through the clouds and beamed down warmth, at least psychologically. Way to plan for the best outcome, y’all!
How needed this opening in the sky is after many dark days! We have a weekend of sun coming – the first weekend I can remember in a long time for the kids to have sunshine while they’re home from school.
