Why protest? I can only speak for myself…
- Canada is only 5 miles away from Orcas Island, as a crow flies, and it is imperative to let our Canadian neighbors know that Trump does not represent SO MANY of us
- If we don’t stand up and tell the world what we think, other nations may assume we follow Trump
- Because one person living on a little island can still make a big difference by gathering with others and saying no
- Because social media is immediate and global – all it takes is 1 photo of us reaching remote places across the globe, and we’ve made instant connections and changed incorrect assumptions
