If you’re starved for performance, as I am, you will have a ball watching these speeches the 9th and 10th graders at Orcas Christian High recorded on March 2nd for World History Icon Day at school.
Thanks to the generosity of Orcas Center, the students were able to comb through endless racks of fantastic clothing and piece together the perfect costumes representing their respective historical figures.
I watched the performances – complete with appropriate accents – alone at my kitchen table live on Zoom, and the kids had me totally transfixed. At times I was laughing out loud. I have watched them again and again, and now so may you too.
