Born to artist parents and the youngest of three brothers, it seemed our house was often a studio of ongoing projects. At age 17 I immersed in 2 semesters of ceramics at Cuesta Community College. I spent the next 40 years sculpting and designing in garden and landscape, before once again picking up a ball of clay to make a pot. I’m inspired by the simple connection to an ancient past where people around the world squeezed clay into vessels and cooked them in the fire.
