Orcas Island Film Festival Presents a Special FREE Screening of Endurance with Producer Ruth Johnston to Benefit West Sound Community Club

From National Geographic Documentary Films and directors Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi, Jimmy Chin, and Natalie Hewit, Endurance chronicles the legendary Antarctic survival of Ernest Shackleton and his crew, alongside a modern expedition to locate the long-lost ship. The film explores two extraordinary journeys bound by resilience, leadership, and determination.
Endurance producer Ruth Johnston will introduce the film and participate in a post-screening Q&A.
This is a free screening and community event with donations to benefit the West Sound Community Club. Presented in partnership with Ruth Johnston, The Explorers Club (PNW Chapter), The Lower Tavern, and film production company, Consequential.
Please join us for an “after-party” at the Lower Tavern (21+), featuring themed food, drink, and live sea shanties, with a portion of proceeds supporting the Community Club.
